Prosper - 'The Speed Of Sound [JOOFA008) We are proud to welcome Nikola Vujnovic aka Prosper from Serbia to the JOOF family. He was discovered by label boss John 00 Fleming who has been playing his tracks over the years, so it was a natural progression that John would eventually ask him to produce an album for us here at JOOF. Prosper has a unique sound, slotting firmly in-between Psy and regular Trance. He has already seen a whole range of DJ's playing his music; from Wizzy Noise, Astrix to Christopher Lawrence and Nicholas Bennison thus backing up our theory that he crosses over. I hope you agree that Prosper brings a breathe of fresh air to both markets with this outstanding 10 track artist album. The biggest problem you have here, is deciding which ones to play!!

Our tongue in cheek sales blurb above is a bit of fun, but seriously we wanted to keep you aware that there still is some quality Trance music out there. Lucid Dreamer - 'The Sleep Walkers' [JOOFA004) Here we see the return of Steve Birch under his more underground alias. Steve continues to be one of the star producers here at JOOF recordings and also one of the hardest working. Two artist albums released within six months, and the third is well under way??!! He is a true talent and has a natural ability in the studio. This album is yet more proof that Steve has a long future ahead of him. This is the second in our series of JOOF artist albums. Again we're not asking the artist to come up with any love songs, R&B or anything that’s out of character with their sound!! We want them to express themselves with music that can be played on the dance floor, after all this is what they are known and loved for.
This time we bring you The Digital Blonde 'Synthology'. A production career spanning nearly 20 years, Riki Smith aka The Digital Blonde has certainly proved his worth as one of the true pioneers of Trance. Having a plethora of singles and remixes under his belt he has gained a solid dedicated fan base that amazes us here at JOOF as we have to deal with the fan mail!!
The Digital Blonde phenomena started back in 1996 with the world renowned 'Antheum'. This was championed by Sasha, Digweed and Nick Warren and has become one of the Worlds true classic records of all time. Things didn't stop there, Riki kept rolling out hit after hit, Electra, Mooga and one of the biggest anthems at Gatecrasher 'Legato'.
Taking time out to take care of his new born daughter Sasha and to rebuild his studio (eventually put to rest his Atari ST!!!), Riki soon got to grips with his new Apple Mac and has churned out nine brand new tracks for this his debut album. He even took time to re make his classic Legato especially for this album!!

Steve Birch was personally headhunted by label boss John 00 Fleming. John certainly has an ear for finding new talent. Steve’s first single on JOOF ‘Spaced out’ has becomes the biggest release and anthem on JOOF!! ‘Spaced out’ was played by Dave Pearce on Radio 1 three consecutive weeks in a row, and still today Dave play’s it calling it one of the anthems of 2005. There has been no sitting back resting with glee for Steve, he has been working hard on this superb artist album. We are all proud to present you with Steve’s debut album of 10 breathtaking tracks. It’s difficult to try and find a favourite from all of them!! Take your time and enjoy these. Steve is defiantly a man to watch for in 2006. John has him firmly placed under his wing and has requested Steve supports him at many of his DJ gigs. Also in the pipeline, Steve has yet another artist album ready to release under his Lucid Dreamer alias . He certainly has become a production machine??? |
